Supervised experiments at the interface of chemistry and biology. Guided students through the synthesis and characterization of bio-relevant molecules such as amino acids, carbohydrates, and lipids.
Pharmaceutical Chemistry I

Mentored pharmacy students in the multi-step synthesis of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). Emphasized recrystallization techniques and structural identification (NMR/IR).
Why We Do This
My ultimate goal as an educator is to show students that the molecules they synthesize in the flask are the building blocks of medicine, materials, and nature.
